Registration date: 23 April 2001. I actually lurked for three or four months before joining.
First post: 11 May 2001, but it was erased in one of the many VictoriaSecret (sp?) threads. It was a roll-call thread. If you look @my 87 page post listing, the first one is in the Equis Effe Elle (XFL) thread.

A few thoughts on the XFL's demise: I watched the first game, lost a heckuva lot of interest afterward.
I know everyone talks about poor-quality football, lowlife announcers and declasse cheerleaders. That didn't kill it. I think it had to do with the fact that stockholders were involved. And in this market there's no tolerance for losing $$$$."

I registered in September 2001 and my first post was on 10-18-2001. This is what I said in the 'What Songs Make You Cry" thread:
I cry every time I hear the Mississippi Children's Choir's version of 'His Eye is on the Sparrow'. That little boy just broke me down. I also cried when Aaron Hall released the video to 'I Miss You' because my sister was pregnant at the time and I scared me. Now, I cry tears of joy when I hear Jill Scott's 'The Way You Love Me'. It reminds me of how my husband makes me feel.

Baby Story (I have followed this show since my college days and I have only seen one black baby born)
Life Time Movies (Is it me or doesnt it seem as if you can stay in front of your T.V. forever when you watch this program).

I stopped watching BET after it was aquired by Viacom and the programming changes included letting Tavis Smiley go! The kids I work with looooooooove watching BET. Do you realize that when the attacks happened on 9/11 that the network continue to play videos with NO mention on what was going on in NYC That's sad! Even MTV stopped their programming and switched to their CBS news afflicate. Honestly, I believe that the company that owns BET want the young urban audience to see that the bling bling and showing/shaking yo a** the only outlets for success! I am not hating that's just my opinon!
