Question Getting a Head Start

There are things that need to be done to complete the joining of a sorority process. Is it a good ideal to turn things in early or should one wait until the day that they are do? I don't want to wait until the last minute and have to rush to get things in on time. As the saying goes "The early bird gets the worm", or in my case membership.

Thanks for the advice in advance.
God Bless

Kiwi -

You should fill out any registration materials sent to you from the university, include any pictures (only if requested) and copies of your transcripts, if requested. Just make sure the forms are in to the Panhellenic office by the due date. There's nothing else you need to do except show up on time for Recruitment Orientation and the other events during Rush week.

If you happen to know women that are alumnae or current sisters in any of the sororities on campus, you should tell them that you will be participating in Formal Recruitment. If the women are relatives or very close friends, they may write a letter of reference for you. Having a letter of reference is a way for an alumna to introduce you to her sorority, it is NOT a guarantee of membership.

Relax...be yourself..ask good questions. Remember, you are interviewing the sisters as much as they are interviewing you.

If you have to go around telling everyone you're in charge you're not much of a leader.
