I'm planning to keep them indoor only. They have two cat rooms connected by a cat porch so all of those kitties get along well with others, but there was a cute mama with a runty kitten, and two male pairs. They are already fixed and up to date on shots so that isn't an issue.

I'm trying to figure out the budget for two kitties and if you can think of anything other than this, let me know. I haven't had cats in awhile.

adoption fees & microchip
food
litter
litter box & scoop
scratching post/toys
collars & id tag
vet check up/pet insurance
carrier
I bought Marbles a drinkwell pet fountain. Cats don't really like water that's been sitting. She freaked out at first, but now she loves it, and they're not that expensive. It looks like you have the most important things covered though.

eta: have fun with your kitties, VS.

Yes! Brush, nail clippers, and lint rollers. The cats I've been looking at are short hair and none have any special health needs listed on their info cards, and keeping them indoors should help keep the cost of certain things down, like flea issues. I just don't have a house where I could safely let them go in and out via window or cat door, and with raccoons and skunks, let alone horrible drivers; I want them to be safe and healthy.

The only other thing I want is a small bench seat/chest to put under my front window so they could see out and nap in the sun. Like this http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60151901 or this http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80106494

Today, my school's cafe special was "MLK Cuisine." You know what they served? Fried chicken, peas, mashed potatoes and gravy. Hm.

Almost everyone walked up to me and pointed that out. As I was walking out, I asked one of my friends "so... is this racist?..."

Creepy: I just found out that a girl I knew in high school is now an aspiring porn star (via her Facebook status!)

Creepier: We graduated seven months ago.

So obvi you're in college and not the Denver Public School system... but they were going to do that too: http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news...41/detail.html

The very last paragraph attempts to offer some justification, but seriously?

Elaine Hall, from the Archives Department at the King Center in Atlanta, has informed the committee that Dr. King's favorite meal includes fried chicken, collard greens, cornbread, and sweet potato pie."
Hm, there was no cornbread nor sweet potato pie at my school!

But I did have a conversation today about I didn't know the food was "collard greens" until a bit over a year ago... I (and my whole family) have always said "colla greens" lol.
Then some random guy out of nowhere explained Southern dialect and what not. I ignored him.

I have two cats (three if you count my boyfriend's cat... he kinda adopted me) and they are so special. One I adopted from the shelter as a kitten and the other is a stray I recently adopted.

When you finally adopt your little ones, can you please post some pictures?
