Red face Transgendered Sorority Members???

Good morning Ladies

This issue is reflected toward Greek Sorority members.
Something was brought to my attention this weekend that has prompted me to seek opinion AND fact from greek sorority members.
This could get lengthy . . . but here goes . . .
XYZ sorority of a Anon college and a BGLO has a service group that is for the first year no longer legally affiliated with their sorority. But it is widely known by the sorority and others that members of this service group are on the road to XYZ sorority. The problem . . . this particular group of members (of the service group) has a member that is in the process of going through a sex change. This person (we will call him Tony) was born a man and physically still is, but is living his life as a woman. XYZ sorority oversees this service group and chose to allow this person to pariticipate in this group that up until him had been for women only. The women of XYZ on this campus recognize Tonya as a woman, but know he is a man. Tony has made it known that he wishes to be a member of XYZ and has even gone far enough to say that he "would never seek membership at Anon, but will elsewhere". Member of this chapter of XYZ claim "Tony knows SHE could never be a member of XYZ".
My questions . . .
Should Tony have been allowed to participate with this particular service group because of it's assosciation with XYZ?
Has XYZ offered a hope to Tony for his desire of XYZ sorority?
In the event that Tony completes his sex change and meets all of the legal requirements and is then classified by law as a female . . .
If Tony then seeks membership within XYZ and meets all the requirements to be accepted what should XYZ see Tony as, female or male?
If XYZ chooses to see Tony as his natural born self and deny him membership, would XYZ be leaving itself open to a law suit because Tony is "Legally a Woman"?
How do you think a situation like this would affect your organization?

This is not a scenario . . . This situation is really happening.
Any opinion AND fact is appreciated.

Patiently learning
