Do you get to wear the Henna on your hands and feet?
PhoenixAzul,
I'm a photographer also but I've never shot anything other than christian weddings (Quinceaneras also, which might as well be a wedding)
I would love to see an Indian/Punjab wedding. Lucky you.

I just spent the better part of an hour looking for the wedding pictures of some online friends of mine! They got married in a combination Indian/Orthodox wedding (religiously Orthodox, traditionally Indian). The bride had outstanding henna designs on her hands, and threatened to get them tattooed so she'd never have to work!!
FWIW, the idea of the henna is that a newlywed woman should not work, so her hands are covered in henna'ed designs. She cannot work until the henna wears off.

I like a lot of the simple styles, however, I've never been wedding dress shopping so we will have to see what happens when I go.

This is my wedding dress - w/me in it! And my mom on my wedding day.
Clearly I'm not one for simple! I'm all about the sparkles!
ETA: I changed the pic to an actual one from the big day b/c for some reason it was posting some other woman in a wedding dress with a group of people, AND it was upside down!

I'm going to get my dress custom made simply b/c I'm picky & I can't find anything I really like. The next two pics are similar to the style I like but I can't find the pic that shows the dress. If anyone has seen the movie White Christmas, there is a scene during a party where one of the sisters gets engaged to Danny Kaye. In that scene, Rosemary Clooney is wearing a black off the shoulder dress that's knee length. That is the exact dress I want only floor length but I can't find a pic of that dress. I found these which are similar but not the same.

Ain't that the truth! That is one of the reasons I got hitched in Las Vegas (and there was STILL some family drama!)
I fell in love with the back of this dress...
(yes this was the dress I wore)

But I want my dream wedding, so I guess I will have to pay for it

Honeykiss....that dress is FANTASTIC! It's essentially everything I would want to have in a wedding dress. I love love love love the cap sleeves. Love them.

Gosh, thanks ladies for the compliments.
Actually, I'm not sure who its by. I just started looking for dresses and ran across this one on the web at www.discountbridal.com. Its called "The Kathryn". I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it.
The only problem is that I want to wear a veil, but I think it would get caught in the swarovski crystals though. Not to mention I think my hair will get caught in them too - and I wanted to wear it down.

Should I ever get married, I want this one or one very similar. I modeled it in a trunk show for a bridal/formalwear shop last semester and adored it! SOOO pretty with a cathedral-length veil, even though it's only a chapel-length train...

We also went to the reception and ate rice off of vazhaillai!
