Our chapter president is the only member who gets a single room in the house. She also gets a free paid trip to Convention if it is a Convention year.

I was President, during my last semester in school. It was probably one of the hardest jobs I have ever had.

I don't think there were perks, other than being able to cast the deciding vote when a tie was was called during a motion. But in that case, you have half the group mad at you .

Free dues, a bigger badge, and a trip to Grand Chapter/College of Chapters.

I was president of my chapter many, many years ago.

[Not sure how I've never seen this thread!]

I was president of my chapter as an undergrad. Our president got a single room back then, and she still does today!

I was president of my chapter in 2005. The best perk was wearing the opal president's badge (unique to my chapter)... But then I'm a sucker for badges

I was president twice - different chapters - while an undergrad. In the first chapter, I got to pass the flame to my little sister, who served as chapter president right after me. That was cool.

I was chapter president in 2009. I can't think of any perks, but I was president when we received our charter, so that was pretty special.
