I just found out my friend from home is going through recruitment so I wrote her a rec behind her back  She goes to a southern school so I wasn't sure if recs were needed but I figured I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I can't wait to see where she pledges!

I am pushing myself beyond my limits this week and I don't know how I'm doing it, but it doesn't feel good. I'm totally wiped out.

I worked from 7 this morning until now. Got back to my building about 7, and then had to finish all my paperwork, wash down our equipment, and run through this payroll. I worked my ass off today. We had a lot of lawns to cut and trim. It was the insect control, disease control, and the fertilization that took up most of our day.

Confession: when I read recruitment stories, I usually skip to the end and see which chapters were ranked last. Then I read those descriptions first because they're more interesting. The ones they like always seem to blend together for me. 
ETA: sometimes I don't even read the descriptions of the ones they like until the second or third round of invites.

Varies on my mood and how much they write. Somedays I will read the whole thing. Others I skip to what you do.
Similarly: I'm getting a little tired of PNMs saying "oh I didn't feel it" after one or two rounds. At many schools this is just silly. Recruitment can be so superficial. There is so much more to a chapter than what they show during recruitment. Also if the girls are just a little awkward or struggle with conversation that seems like a weak reason to say they are a bad chapter. They are probably more tired than the PNM and are so sick of talking, plus trying to figure out how to make a magical conversation... its awful. I mean it is one thing if a chapter is down right mean or bring up situations you wouldn't be comfortable in, like bringing up other chapters' reputations or talk about partying all the time. If the chapters are bigger than... what 100 women(?), dropping one because they don't have as cute a skit or because the conversation doesn't flow as well is really dumb. Especially if it means you are going to drop out of recruitment.

That's always how I read it.
I also crack up when they say they don't connect to the philanthropy.

I was so excited to get my Colibri book cover system today! Immediately took it out of the box, set it up with the quick start guide, and got ready to cover a paperback. Almost as soon as I switched it on, the display said to call the service number. I am so bummed.
