My sister asked me to coordinate her wedding. She lives out of state but is marrying here. My plan? I called the woman who coordinated my wedding & hired her.

On top of it all, earlier this afternoon I had my hair trial and my stylist is amazing! She did it exactly how I wanted! When she put the veil on I was like, "Oh holy shit! I'm a real bride!" After a nearly 3 year-long engagement plus tons of planning and playing dress up with that veil, my stylist putting it all together with my hair made it so real! I never cry "happy tears" and my eyes started to water. I can't wait to marry the coolest, sweetest man I've ever met in just a few months!
I don't know why, but I just got the happiest of smiles for you as I read this! Here's hoping that all goes as plans - for the rest of your lives!

We just had our 6 month anniversary on Saturday (not that we did anything) and I couldn't believe how fast time has gone by.

I will say that even beyond the chaos and horrible experience our venue gave us, when my husband teared up looking at the wedding photos I knew that all the stress was totally worth it.

Oh yeah and 6 months after the wedding, we still haven't done our album! My mom is making us pick photos over mother's day. Mostly b/c I think she wants her album.

I've been married for over 6 and haven't got around to it. Maybe that will be a summer project.

Yep. Even on the happiest day of his life, he still looks like d-bag Beavis.

You know what's weird. I looked through those photos and the extra ones with the family members and nowhere does it show his parents. Do they exist or did he hatch out of a pod, like Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

I'll lay the first bet that this lasts no further than 2 months after they lose their MTV reality show contract.

He will have no further use for her....

Hehe, we still haven't done our album either. I have to take all the images from the DVD, process the camera RAW files, and then make them into JPEGs. We have a couple of random pics lying around, but I didn't have time to process them all for the album....buuuuuuut now that I've got a broken hip and 3 months with which to do nothing but sit on my arse, I've got no excuse!

Please, Please, Please, for any bride and/or groom reading this, please for the love of...read your guest list and then double check and triple check if you have to when you are making place cards. Andy and I traveled 7 hours to get to his first cousin's wedding and spent too much money on a room for two nights at the resort because his parents didn't live close enough to the wedding. They didn't even put the right name on our placecard. I'm not talking about a misspelling-that I could have forgave. I'm talking about another name that starts with the same first letter and is completely different! I only knew it was ours because it was his mother's side, not his father's and we were sitting with his mother and sisters.

Is it wrong of me that when I forgot the card with a pretty generous check in the room that I didn't go back to get it? I'm sure when I calm down I'll throw it in the mail, but I'm still pissed right now...thus the reason I'm on GC venting while I'm away.

Oh that's no good. Were they placecards or escort cards? Friends of mine went to a wedding where they messed up the escort cards and people's tables.

I did a big seating chart at the entrance to the reception. And yes, when my mom found a mistake the Wednesday before the wedding, off we went to Office Max to have it reprinted, laminated and put onto foam core.

I am married and never heard of an escort card...until now-I looked it up. It was an escort card in a picture frame that would be one of the souveniers.

Vent: I understand that you're planning a wedding on a short time frame. However, that was no excuse to drag your feet in picking out the bridesmaids dresses. And, you picked one that no one carries, and that some places might be able to order. I found a place that could order from that designer. I drive almost an hour away to that place, get measured, and put down a deposit. Yesterday I get a call that sorry, they can't order it because they can't order from that particular line. So I call you right away to tell you what happened and to see if the other two bridesmaids had ordered theirs yet, if so, to see if they ordered it online, etc. I leave you a message before the end of the work day. And you can't call me back? You had time to post on facebook, but didn't have time to call me back or send me an email/facebook message? Time is of the essence here - your wedding is in less than 4 months!
