Question Sexual Abuse Awareness

I am doing a project for a graduate class on greek life and I was just wondering what kind of programs your chapter may be doing to to make people aware of sexual abuse and its ties to alcohol.

My fraternity, Zeta Tau Alpha, has developed an award-winning program called - In your best interest, A Matter of Balance. It is a program that covers hazing, alcohol awareness, date rape (including date rape drugs), eating disorders, AIDS, and substance abuse. In addition, the program stresses the need to balance your life and promotes physical, mental and spiritual wellness. A career development section is included as well.

Every collegiate chapter is required to present topics from this program each semester. There is an accompanying video and classroom materials that go with the topics.

In conjunction with the program we sponsor a toll-free information and crisis hotline for anyone that is in need of a helping hand or for sisters that need assistance in dealing with a Risk Management issue that is affecting someone other than themselves. I feel that it is a very comprehensive program that is updated frequently to meet the needs of today's college students.

If you have to go around telling everyone you're in charge you're not much of a leader.
