AST announces the passing of Dr. Edward D. Jervey, longtime friend of the Sorority

Quote:
With great sadness, Alpha Sigma Tau announces the passing of Dr. Edward D. Jervey, a longtime friend of Alpha Sigma Tau, at the age of 94.

"The older you get, you realize the only two things that really matter in life are family and friends … the Sisters of AΣT are both. As long as I can keep one foot in front of another, the Sorority will be there for me, and I’ll be there for them.” - Dr. J
I had the privilege of meeting Dr. J at our national convention in 2006 when my chapter won the award bearing his name. At this past convention in 2022, he sat directly behind me - at a reserved seat in the second row - in the general sessions. Right before one of the sessions started, he told me and some of my fellow national volunteers how very proud he was of the work we're doing. We'll miss you Dr. J!

I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful mentor and friend to Alpha Sigma Tau he was. May his memory be a blessing.

Condolences to the family of Dr. Jervey and the women Alpha Sigma Tau. It's clear how much passion he had for his life's calling as an educator and mentor to college students.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this beloved friend of the sorority, I didn't realize he was involved with the Radford community. That's amazing the support he provided to help Alpha Sigma Tau and the community overall. May his memory continued to be remembered.
