Arrow PLAYBOY On-Campus Reps

This is an initiative Playboy has, aimed toward colleges/students.

Does anyone have this operating on their campus?
Does anyone think it's good for a social fraternity [in the U.S] as a fundraiser/cross-marketing thing etc?
Has anyone heard of it? Does anyone DO it?

Playboy college reps promote the Playboy name; in the same way as other companies have student marketing reps. As far as I can gather it involves promotion of the company and can include hosting or helping with parties and other on campus events where models may come along etc. Plus I think stuff like rep of the month where you can win trips or whatever and generally have some experience for the resumé.

p.s. And no I'm not one I just made the thread after seeing 1CalledTKE's other recent thread about a Playboy video game. Posted here rather than Ents forum as it isn't really a discussion about individual stratas of Playboy Inc (magazine, website, TV etc) but about the college rep thing.

We don't have one here on Campus. Would it be useful for a Fraternity as A Fund-Raiser: It may/may not work because some/all Fraternities may not warm-up to the Idea, But that's my Opinion. Individually-wise, sounds like fun.

Maybe it's just me, but does Playboy *need* to promote itself to college aged guys? As if they aren't buying enough copies or something. What exactly would the rep do?

It was my understanding, from that MTV makeover show where the girl had been in a college issue of Playboy and got breast implants, that a college rep was someone on a college campus looking for gals to model not more male buyers.

Ahhh makes sense. Playboy comes around here now and then recruiting girls for the "Girls of the SEC" calendar. I stay far far away those couple of days.
