Good column. It just reinforces what I have always felt, that raising the drinking age just increases problems. I actually had a discussion about this with several veteran (15-20 years experience )university Greek advisors at the MGCA conference a few months ago. I asked them if they had more alcohol related problems (binge drinking, rape, violence, vandalism, etc. ) before or after the 21 drinking age went into effect. The 6 advisors at the table all agreed that the alcohol problems on campuses skyrocketed after 21 went into effect.
It's just like the fact that prohibition actually caused alcohol consumption to skyrocket when it was in effect!

Also, isnt it true, that when the age of consumption was lowered, the only thing it did was to get more kids arrested for drinking?

Granted, Kids go to school for the first time with out parental control and try to show how adult they are?

Well they are not, that is why, "Supposedly" We as Greeks are supposed to be protective of Our New Charges? Some dont!

Just get the reports I do daily and hang My Head in shame for all GLOs!
