Toast song, what do you sing?

I learned about the old version of the toast song during my new active period, but, because we sing the gender-inclusive version, I figured it wasn't sung anymore. My chapter, Delta Pi, has about 70 members and only about 8 guys (We just had 40 seniors graduate! So it used to be over 100 members total and less than 20 guys), so it just doesn't make sense not to sing the gender-inclusive version.

Anyway, it came as a real shock to me when I went to Co-Sectionals and there were groups singing the old version! So, just out of curiosity, how many of your chapters sing the original toast song and how many sing the gender-inclusive one?

"Old" Toast Song? On page 49 of the Pledge Manual is the Toast Song, our official version. Many chapters have changed words on their own when they sing the song amongst themselves, but our official Toast Song has not changed since the addition of the 2nd verse many many years ago. There have been proposals made over the past 20-or so years to change the song on an official level, but none have passed.

DeltaPyyrite -

If you look below the thread at "related threads" there is a rather lengthy one about the Toast Song.

And with that, I'm going to SKEDADDLE.

Thanks 33girl! I am looking it up right now. Didn't know it was there.
