Frenchie worked for a porno website. She was one of my favorites. Now I guess Ruben is my fav.

The producers knew about her participation on the site. Why'd they just decide to kick her out?

No, but I don't agree with you that these people are more talented than last year and the fact that, on top of that, they're unattractive doesn't make me want to watch.

Anyone still watching this? I fell asleep for about 1/2 of it, but that Juanita girl was a trip. She was horrendous!

I think the military guy is going to make it, but I wasn't impressed with anyone else that I saw.

I watched it, and if you've ever visited http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com , I agree with most of what they say. Here are little tidbits that I thought were hilarious from the recaplet:

"Sylvia Chibiliti bumbles her way through "Didn' We Almos' Ha' It All." Chip Days blahs his way through "A Song For You" with some weird facial expressions. Juanita Barber seems to have already forgotten that she wouldn't have even made it this far if it weren't for Frenchie's disqualification, but reminds the rest of us why with her wretched, shrieking rendition of "What About the Children?" Nasheka is boring and sings "Open My Heart" and nobody cares. Ashley Hartman sings "Touch Me In The Morning" with a voice as shrill as a tea kettle going off. "

I did like Josh (the Marine). He had a good voice and I love that song!!! i think Josh and Corey will make it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with her size.

Honestly, a woman who is skinny and attractive and uses sex to sell herself will be seen as a little bit trashy, maybe, but still attractive and sexy. The same woman with 50 extra pounds tacked on will be considered morally corrupt.

I completely agree with you, though. It should have had nothing to do with it -- and besides, Fox can't exactly take the moral high road after going out of their way to portray Sarah on "Joe Millionaire" as a slut.

I'm assuming some of the sponsors of "American Idol" (which include AT&T, Coke, and Clairol) objected to the supposed "moral character" of this woman and pressured Fox to drop her or lose advertising money.

Well, not that it's right, but remember that Idol is targeted towards a younger audience. Most of the competetors are older teens and younger adults. It's okay for Millionaire's Sarah to look like a tramp, but the Idol has to be a little more of a stereotypical pop icon.
