Question 3rd party vendor

For those chapters who have been using 3rd party vendors, just out of curiousity, how much does it take to rent one for the night?

You split the cost with the frat and it ranges from $60 a house to $200 it depends on the place and whether you supply food or what not. It can actually be pretty fun, and takes tension off of the frat to have the hous eset up. Also, if you don't like the guys or the party you can leave and go to a bar or anothe party (ahem provided you're old enough).

It's dependent upon said establishment (some places will not charge on certain days--like Wednesday or Thursday--big party days at my school). It's really not that difficult, and I prefer it to an in-house party--no clean-up afterwards!

The the post college world, it depends on the establishment.

There is one place where we've had "Founders Day" he past three years which charges for the room as well as food and alcohol.

There's another we frequent that charges nothing for the room as long as you order food an drink off the menu.

I have no experience in bringing a third party into a house or other location.

We have quite a few events in bars, but keep in mind that every time you rent out a bar, you exclude those members who are not of age to enter the bar.

In Champaign the bar-entry age is only 19, but this still knocks out a bunch of our freshmen.
