Has anyone seen it? I have Comcast and saw it On Demand and it piqued my interest since it's description said:
"A freshman college student believes there was foul play behind another sorority member's apparent suicide."
It stars Hillary Swank, Jenna Von Oy (from Blossom) and Mark Paul Gosselar (Saved by the Bell).
The entire movie is basically every rumor, tall tale and crazy news story you've seen about Greek life. There was some of the hazing tumors we've all heard about in it:
- Circling fat on the body of girls
- Being blindfolded and having one of the actives drop glass and put eggshells in the pledges mouths with them thinking its glass
- Crazy drinking games
- The directors of Greek Life covering everything up
- Dangerous dares that involve stealing valuable things
It's basically exactly what it sounds like. A strong-willed college freshman (Hillary Swank) going through sorority recruitment as a legacy after her mom begged her to and she goes through recruitment with her friend (Jenna Von Oy) who desperately wants to be in a sorority. They both get into their favorite sorority and the girl legacy house, Pi Gamma Beta (after rejecting 'Kappa Gams' and 'Alpha Tau's' lol)
They go through pledging which involves some of the ridiculous stuff posted above and Hillary Swank thinks they're ridiculous, but Jenna Von Oy promises her it's just Hell Week and it's alllllll for the sisterhood and it'll pay off.
I don't wanna spoil anything in case anybody actually wants to watch it, but somebody dies and the fictitious PHC and the sorority tries to cover it up.
I thought the movie was interesting and if you have Comcast, you should take a look at it under Free Movies, especially if you're off from work today!
