After meeting with these three national organizations, the expansion committee elected to bring Alpha Phi to our campus this fall, and to bring Phi Mu in Fall of 2011.
We are very excited for Alpha Phi to join our Panhellenic community this fall!"
Thought everyone would be interested.

Alpha Phi should prove to be a good choice as they are a very strong sorority in the state of Ohio, and a lot of Ohio students go to University of Kentucky. Does anyone know which fraternities are building and where the houses will be located?

The two fraternities building are FarmHouse and Pi Kappa Alpha.
My understanding is that the Pikes hope to break ground "soon". Which would lead me to believe they have a site selected. However, I have not heard where it might be located.
FarmHouse has a site. For those familiar with Lexington, it is basically "down the street" from Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Nu at the intersection of Rose Lane and Transylvania Park. This is where some of the land owned by the University has been zoned for Greek Housing. I believe the groundbreaking for FH will be in 2010.
Here is a picture of the new Kentucky FarmHouse.

There is no 2010 thread going yet, so I'll post this here...
Tri Sigma has been invited to colonize at High Point University in North Carolina in the Spring of 2010. I am so excited to add another chapter to NC. This will be Tri Sigma's fourth colony next year!

That is a badass "Farmhouse" at Kentucky! My brothers need to tear down and build to compete. Their house is a bit on the small side (especially sitting next to that SAE monster).

I just read this on the IFC Website for Ole Miss:
"NOTE: Sigma Pi Fraternity, International has been approved for expansion for the 2009-2010 academic year."
I didn't even know our IFC was open for expansion...we do have at least 2 empty fraternity houses (old Phi Beta Sigma house--not sure what is going on there b/c they were raising money to renovate two years ago, Chi Psi house).....DKE's house is empty but I think they are still here, they just cannot recruit or something.
Anyway, we did have a Sigma Pi chapter from 1957-1971 and then 1974-1991.
