finding your letters somewhere you didn't expect

I just got back from Chicago. The man ahead of me in line at security at O'Hare had a bag that said "Kappa" on the side. No Greek letters, just the word "Kappa" in white on a black bag. Kappa Alpha Psi, perhaps? (I'm guessing not Kappa Kappa Gamma )

No other sightings, though. I was a bit surprised - I'd have thought I'd see more letters at the airport, with the holidays over and people returning to school.

I saw a member of a flight team carrying a bag with a LXA sticker over Christmas in NYC. Just saw an AKA personalized license plate in Dallas yesterday in my friends' garage. Very nice looking design, BTW.

I saw two Alpha Phi Alpha plates on the way to take the GRE yesterday. I was hoping to see more letters in Nashville, but I guess everyone was on break

A lady of Zeta Phi Beta was on the Today Show a few minutes ago; she is featured in the latest issue of People magazine & she discussed her dramatic weight loss. Her letters were in the "before" photo.

At Target today, I saw a girl wearing a Sigma Kappa jacket she goes to Iowa State
I also saw a girl wearing a Chi Omega shirt. She goes to U of Iowa

Walked past a car with Delta Delta Delta letters on the back window in a driveway while I was walking to Clarendon last night from my apartment.

Today in my 200-mile drive, I saw Delta Delta Delta, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, and Alpha Delta Pi stickers.

I also saw a license plate that said 07SQRL and couldn't help but wonder if it was an Alpha Gamma Delta.

I saw a Delta Omicron sticker yesterday. Turns out it is a music fraternity but I can't find a chapter anywhere near here.

Yes, Delta Omicron is a music fraternity. I think the colors are pink and silver. They were founded as a sorority but went co-ed with Title IX. Their badge is actually very similar to that of Alpha Chi Omega.

Cool. My husb is a KKPsi and he had never heard of it either. I love learning about new groups.

On my drive back to Atlanta yesterday, on I-40/85 in NC saw a Chi Omega window decal, an Clemson Alpha Delta Pi window decal, and an Elon Alpha Xi Delta window decal.

I believe I saw an NCSU Sigma Phi Epsilon window decal on I-85.
