Colony recruitment will be held September 25-30, 2011 after formal recruitment. Here is some information from the website:
Joining Alpha Phi
Alpha Phi is looking for strong leaders who can be great charter members of our new chapter. Joining Alpha Phi enables women to make history as a charter member while enjoying a full Greek life experience at Whitman. The fun, friendships and amazing times our members experience will culminate with installation of the new chapter and a reception in honor of our newest sisters. In fall 2012, Alpha Phi will join the other Panhellenic groups during formal recruitment!
Formal Recruitment 2011
Alpha Phi is excited for Formal Recruitment at Whitman! We will be participating fully in Activity Day on September 10, holding an Open House Round hosted by collegiate members from other area chapters. These women will be able to impart unique insight about what it means to be an Alpha Phi on their campus, and will give you more information about what it will mean for you as a new member of Alpha Phi at Whitman. Following the first round of formal recruitment, Alpha Phi will withdraw in order to prepare for our own exclusive recruitment. Keep checking our website, or speak with an Alpha Phi representative for more information on time and dates for Alpha Phi’s recruitment.
Alpha Phi Recruitment
Alpha Phi will hold special recruitment events for interested women following the conclusion of formal recruitment. These events will be geared toward encouraging interaction between potential new members, and sharing the details about what life in a new Alpha Phi chapter will really be like. While we know that many potential new members will find their home through the formal recruitment process, we hope that you will recognize this unique opportunity and keep Alpha Phi in mind as you make your decision about your future sorority.
Joining a New Chapter
Your experience as a charter member of the Whitman chapter will be exciting and historic. While your sorority experience will mirror that of your friends’ in other chapters in many ways, you will have the distinction of being a founding member of a group that will establish a lasting legacy at Whitman. You will have the opportunity to help shape the character and chart the course for Alpha Phi at Whitman. Starting a new sorority is hard work, but so is anything worth doing! Opportunities for leadership and enrichment will be open to you from the very beginning, and you will have a special bond with other charter members that are unlike any other.
