Hey everyone. I love hearing the different types of songs. Some of them i know, and some of them i have heard but we don't sing. There is one song that we sing that is absolutley hilarious. It's called stand your man up in the corner and it goes like this...

Songs

One song that we use for recruitment goes:

Rem-mem-mem Rem-mem-mem-ber
Phi Sig Sig, good times together
laughing, singing doing whatever
we like best forever and ever.

Making new friends day after day
Hoping good things will come our way
Stick together you and I
Hope we never say goodbye.

Repeat until the PNM's are far away...

Its really cool, and it leaves a lasting impression with them

Talking Here's Some New Songs

(Think of "It's a Grand Ol' Flag")

We're from Phi Sigma,
and we get the job done...
We work hard,
we are strong everyday...
We're the blue and gold,
the brave and bold...
There's nothing that stands in our way.
If you need a friend,
count on us til the end.
After all that's been said and done.
Should all the others let you down,
count on Phi Sigma Sigma!

------------------------------------------------------

Let's sing about Phi Sig Sig.
Let's shout about Phi Sig Sig.
It's where we try our best,
and always pass the test.
Let's sing about Phi Sig Sig.
Let's shout it out PHI SIG SIG!
P-H-I-S-I-G
P-H-I-S-I-G
P-H-I-S-I-G
Spells Phi Sig Sig...
(you can repeat it until you start to annoy people)

Ok... So I kinda took these from my elementary school days, but they work for us!!!

Like said before..there should be songs in sunshine or MRC 's handbooks.
Here are a couple clean ones my chapter likes;

clapping song
(snap - clap - clap on legs - clap - snap)
Phi Sig, Phi Sig, whaddya say
I'm for phi sig all the way
we're the best, the best you'll see
we're the best sorority
let's go phi sig let's go (clap -clap)
let's go phi sig lets go (clap clap)
let's go phi sig, let's go phi sig, let's go phi sig let's go(clap clap clap)
P (snap-clap-clap legs-clap-snap-clap clap clap)
H (repeat sequenceAfter each letter)) I - S- I- G
(back to main sequence)P-H-I-S-I-G, Phi Sig!

P-H-I-S-(I)-G-M-A

P-H-I-S-I-GMA (I can't stand the mispelling so I add the 'I', and shorten the length of G-M-A)
Phi Sigma Sigma all the way
Phi Sig (yes we are the best)
Phi Sig (better than the rest)
Phi Sig (yes we are the best)
Phi Sig, Phi Sig, Phi Sig!

Wink New Songs for CSUDH

I just wanted to say that we are incorporating some of the songs that are listed here on our campus. It's great seeing the sisters getting together and having fun!! If your chapter has any other songs that are not already listed, please post them, so hopefully we can learn them too! Thanks!

Does anyone know the tune to The Hymn (the one in reflections written by Pearl Lipmann[?])...Phi Sigma Sigma, no stain or stigma....

It was our first official hymn i think (if i'm reading the book right) but i have no clue how it goes.

also, i have a copy of the songs included in the chapter handbook(1999) ...does anyone have the tune for "Hey look us over" Is that a popular song too, or did we make it up?

Last week I taught my self 2 new songs from the book (since it had the song tune to go with them)

the gilligans island song

All these songs are great, some of them are really catching on with my chapter. It seems like everyone already has plenty of drinking songs, but I wanted to put this up, it seems like everywhere I go I end up teaching it to people. I must have wrote it out 10 times at LTS, people just keep asking for it.

The tune is the theme from Giligan's island:

Question Do we have a CD??

Hey Guys,
I just got back from SEPC and I met a bunch of sisters! That was exciting! Anyway, we were talking about different songs that we sing and there were a bunch that I didn't know. Does anyone know if Central Office has a CD with our songs on it??? Or does ANYONE have a CD with our songs???

I'm sure that CO does Not have a cd or cassette of songs...just a songbook that is in the Chapter Handbook..most chapters have also acquired their own songbooks. late one night last month I stayed up because I was sick and taped all the songs I knew...unfortuantely I'm not a good singer on top of being sick, but my sisters thought it was cute.
At division conference every chapter was to sing a song...I was the only one from my chapter that knew a whole song (others tried but faded out) and I'm Alum...so we definitely need some Song training.

Songs

Hey!

Otay, As you may have read in my Prefnight thread i am MRC. i am looking for songs to sing for recruitment and as a sisterhood(Like the dirty ones) I have to teach songs to the new girls and ireview them with the old sisters. I was hoping that maybe someone has some fun songs that are goofy and can help the older sisters stay interested in the songs. So If you have ANY songs that your chapter sings can you e-mail them to me and with the tune they go too. We have the songs like Re mem mem, linger, hidy tidy and so forth.i'm just lookin' for some more songs so the sisters don't get bored with them.

Thanks mary
