I guess I need to hear "Won't Back Down" slowed down because I don't hear a connection.
The Vanilla Ice and David Bowie thing was much more obvious. Practically anyone could hear that without needing the songs slowed down or sped up. I remember the interview Vanilla Ice did back then when he said the beats are different "that other song goes dundundundddddd...dundundunddddd and mine goes dundundundddddd...chhhh...dundundunddddd...that's not the same thing." Everyone was like
Just like I consider it obvious that Robin Thicke's song was a knockoff of Marvin Gaye's song. Oh well.

I'm going to be a homebody tonight. I'm tired. But I do want to see "Jupiter Ascending" tomorrow. I hope I'm not disappointed.

It has been SO LONG since I've had a tears streaming, gave-myself-the-hiccups laugh! I love my friends, they are so awesome. Definitely a great Friday night.
OAN: I hope this storm that's rolling in won't be too bad. My street started to flood a couple hours ago but has been going down since the rain let up. But the wind is so bad, power lines are down. That last gust shook my building and set off someone's car alarm. Here's hoping it doesn't kick up any more than this!

LOL to the longest post ever on the last page. TLDR.
What I feel like saying right now: I'm wicked excited about the warm weather this weekend. I will always love the northeast, but I'm so glad I don't have to deal with the snow and cold anymore.

It was that bad? After I read your post, I decided to read the plot of the movie. All this time, I thought it was about the planet Jupiter, not a woman who goes by the name Jupiter. Then it said it's a cross between the universe and the movie "The Matrix", which was one of, if not, the worst movie I've ever seen. So all of that, added to your post means I've decided to pass on this movie. I'll wait for it when it's available on Netflix, Vudu, or Red Box.
Thanks for the heads up, Cheerio.

One of the other COs at my job just told me "I can tell you've been through a major trauma in your life, just by looking in your eyes."
Uuummmmmm...... no. Thankfully I have not. Stick to being a CO/cop and leave psychoanalysis to the pros. kthx.

Two things:
(1) People who think they know everything about everything really irritate me.
(2) I wonder how many people in the groups boycotting the movie 50 Shades of Grey - particularly the Christian groups - have actually read the books. I have a feeling many of the women standing behind their church's/organization's boycott secretly read the books. Yeah, judgmental church-going neighbor who hid her book behind Country Living magazine, I'm talking to you.

I read the books and have no interest in seeing the movie because I think it glamorizes an extremely abusive and dysfunctional relationship. It has nothing to do with religion. It is because I read the books that I will not see the movie. I kept thinking, as I read the books, that she was going to wise up and dump him and press charges and stuff.

Susan Ivanova: Have you ever heard of the hour of the wolf?
Lyta Alexander: No.
Susan Ivanova: My father told me about it. It's the time between 3:00 and 4:00 in the morning. You can't sleep, and all you can see is the troubles and the problems and the ways that your life should've gone but didn't. All you can hear is the sound of your own heart. I've been living in the hour of the wolf for seven days, Lyta. Seven days. The wolf and I are now on a first-name basis. In times like this, my father used to take one large glass of vodka before bed. 'To keep the wolf away,' he said. And then he would take three very small drinks of vodka, just in case she had cubs while she was waiting outside.
[she takes a drink]
Susan Ivanova: It doesn't work.

It doesn't work.
