Perhaps the nicest of our California houses is at Berkeley....

The picture is too small to do the house justice... you really have to drive up and see it for yourself.

This IS a fabulous house from the outside. I was inside when [I think] Sig Ep had the house, and the inside was trashed. It's on the top of the hill and really plays off the geography well.

Unhappy

Where is the respect for the building that you live in? As you said, trashed on the inside!

That seems to be the problem!

I love some of my Alums who said why was the House Torn Down!

Well, it was built in 1895 and a had 30 + years of Kids coming through it and not taking care if it!

If, it was taken better care of, it would still be standing, DA!

Some do respect, and some dont, and that is what is happening to the Chapter Houses of Greeks Today!

My Proposel, when we build the next House, make it of concrete block or cement forming! Screw up proof!

Kappa Alpha Theta

ISUKappa: Thanks for posting this pic. I was looking for one for a bit and I wasn't having much success. Then I decided that I'd just wait until later this summer/fall and do it after we put the new windows in and take a digital pic myself. Thanks for posting all of the sororities at Iowa State!

No problem!

I'd forgotten that I had transferred all the files from the Panhel site I'd created to my personal server after I graduated. Some of the houses are so difficult to photo because of trees and angles, these don't really do them justice. As much as I loved my house, I was jealous of ADPi's courtyard, Chi O's columns, Sig Kap's balcony and Gamma Phi's big, old doors. I think all the old fraternity and sorority houses have so much character.
