Well, while the pledges really screwed up by breaking the rules and drinking during pledgeship, the actives may as well have handed their recognition over tonight! Waking up the pledges at 5:45am and lining them up to yell at them in their underwear on the front porch until you wake the neighbors up? I think that fits most universities definition of hazing.
I was surprised that Dan depledged, but I had to laugh at the one active's comment "He's a good guy, I hope he'll try again next semester." I just thought to myself, "Not bloody likely since your suspended!"

I looked at doublesweetie.com because I knew there was an article where one of the guys said he depledged cause MTV was a PITA and I thought maybe that was Dan, but it was Ron Tumiel, whichever one he was. I think that's why they said "hopefully he'll come back" cause it seems like it was mostly about the cameras always being in his face.
PsiU_EN - maybe he got the shirt from another college around there - I think there are at least 6 different colleges in & around Buffalo.

nah, i'd give it to Alex
his face just screams 'i need a hug!'
i would love it if he was torn between pledging a fraternity and being with me
i'd tell him to do it but i'd want him being in an IFC though
then, i'd pledge a sorority so we could both be Greek together
*singing*dream a little dream of me. . .

Dan did re-pledge this semester, and was just initiated into ΣΧΩ (suspension or not).

Is Dan the one who slept on the couch but didn't actually live in the pledge house?? For the life of me, I can't keep some of these people straight...not even some of the girls on SL...
But anyway, I was also surprised when he de-pledged, but what surprised me even more than that was the 5 am line-up that was filmed and woke up the neighbors!! Hello?? WTF? No wonder they're now suspended. Dumbassess.....

Highly Doubtful

I really doubt that the ODs will be participating in Fraternity Life 2. If they do, I'm sure they won't let the cameras in on any of their rituals or sessions, b/c they definitely have a more "extensive" pledge process than what has been aired so far. Furthermore, that isn't really in keeping with the traditions of Black and Latino GLOs. They typically don't let non-members in on any of their organization's business/information. Whether it is chapter, picking members, planning events, or rituals; if you aren't a member, you typically aren't welcome.

Whoa, what??? I can't find the original post about Omega Delta, but I had heard nothing about this. In fact, I do not think it would surprise me at all if they chose to do it, from what I know of their chapter.
They are a Latino fraternity, but I have always gotten the impression that they would like to be a large IFC chapter, not really following the form of other MCGLOs. For example, they serenade the sororities for exchanges, paired with us one year for homecoming, etc.

The fraternity for FL:2 has already been chosen, and filming is already underway at UC Santa Cruz - the Delta Omega Chi fraternity will be featured.

As the last post states, the fraternity for Season 2 is Delta Omega Chi not Omega Delta. The young lady was probably confused. However, I still stand by my original post that the ODs would not be willing to expose their pledge program on national TV. Many minority greeks participate in events and traditional activites with WGLOs, and even if they do want to become apart of IFC it would not aide their natl. expansion if their Alpha chapter was suspended.

hmmmm....
Someone discussed hazing in a couple of the threads. From what I have seen in both shows, it looks like there is some hazing going on. I am having a hard time understanding why these groups are showing some of this stuff on tv. I just watched the episode where the guys were not supposed to be drinking and were and they were drug out of bed really early and outside in their underware. Also, on other ones when they have to do pushup and say Sir yes Sir, that really looks like hazing.
As far as the girls, can the DZO sisters make them stay in the house at night every night? I don't blame that one girl for leaving because she got in trouble for seeing her boyfriend.
To me, it looks as though both of these houses are doing alittle bit of hazing and if they were smart, they would at least ask the cameras to leave.
