That reminds me, I have to ask my sister if she and her husband have been there yet. They just accepted offers to join medical practices in Missouri this summer, so they don't have much time!

I found $30 in cash yesterday! It was repayment from my mother-in-law for a Christmas wreath she'd bought for my son's band fundraiser. She put it in a bag I use for our dog's over night stays at her house. Just got it out to pack up some things for him to stay over again, and I found the envelope. I love it when that happens!

I do not mind doing all the cooking and all the cleaning. I do not mind that you let your dog sleep with my throw blanket my dog is not allowed to lay on. (Yeah, it's an antique, but I guess I can wash it.) I understand you are tired and don't feel good - please stop reminding me. I do not know what that supplement is that you are taking, but if it reacts with your prescription medications you should probably stop.
But you do not go over to someone's house and drink all the Kona.

(and left grocery store blend....)

JESUS. It needs to be closer to moving day. Came SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to letting it slip that I'm moving. I was chit chatting with a co-worker about needing a haircut. My mom owns a salon so she asked if I just go there. I told her I do but I wish it was closer to where I live. Then I said, "Well I better take advantage of it while I can." Thankfully, she was rushing out the door to a meeting and trying to pull something up her computer at the same time so she responded with "Yeah, sometimes it's really hard to get an appointment last minute". Phew.

It's days like today I really notice how far left my Facebook friends lean.

I went red, too, but I'm in more of the "it's none of my business who you love" camp.

Dear people at the library--

The library is a place where some of us go for a quiet place to study and/or read. It is not a Blockbuster, and the whole damn library does not need to know that you've only seen one Harry Potter movie. I realize you are looking at the videos but it's still a LIBRARY. And parents, if you have a screaming child, please take it outside. Cell phones should be on vibrate not a crazy ass song.

KTHXBAI.

You talk about that place a lot. Me and my girl might have to travel to see that place, if it's like that. For real. I'm about to look it up to see what it looks like.

I really wish there were a political filter on Facebook. I tired a long time ago of all the sky-is-falling and he/she/it-is-the-Great-Evil posts from people on both ends of the political spectrum.

Totally agree. Like I said, I changed my pic, but that was ALL. I didn't make mention of it, and I didn't post anything else....well, except my character's page where I posted a pic that said "Love is Beautiful" - which fit my page any other day of the week. You can support your cause without ramming it down people's throats, and I will respect you more for it.

MISERY. MISERY^Misery power.

Got a script for an opthalmic corticosteroid/antibiotic. Apparently my symptoms (while awful) are 'textbook' for hypoxia. No idea how long it will last, hence the corticosteroid to try and decrease them. I am miserable. Can't be in any bright lights because it hurts, the waves of stinging and burning have me crying, and it's a miracle i made it home in one piece.

Congratulations to them. That's wonderful news. But, tell them they really have to go before that leave. It is so romantic. They would love it. We've gone so much, that most of the staff know us by name.

Yep. I mean, I'm sure your city has restaurants that are similar, so I wouldn't suggest travelling just to eat there. But, you can look it up to see what you think.

!!!!

On the Facebook topic again, I had a (straight) friend post a rant about how HER pic was red, why aren't all of her gay friends red because someday they may want to marry, even if they're not in a relationship right now.

Seriously? Maybe they're not totally out yet (and maybe you're making them feel bad about it). Maybe they have a ton of extremely conservative business associates. Maybe, though they're gay, they associate with a religion that's against gay marriage and therefore don't support it. Maybe they haven't been on Facebook yet today. Maybe they think it's silly (it's kinda gotten to that point). In any case, Double You Tea Eff?

Yes, and to further illustrate your point, a lesbian executive at our office today asked her straight assistant about what's going on today.

In support of marriage equality. Specifically, the red ones with the pink equals sign, though I've now seen it morph at least 10 different ways. This one being the best (IMO):
