AA, I wish there was a "Like" button for your post. Good luck next week, and hoping for a wonderful new pledge class of smart, beautiful Delta Gammas.

I will be there in less than a week to help with recruitment. I am so excited to see DG's new house..even if it's only from the outside. I wish you the best of luck. It's an exciting time. Do we have a final number of PNMs registered? Last I heard it was over 1950 in fact the number 1967 sticks in my mind .

1,974 but it bobbles up and down all day as they delete duplicates and withdrawals, add last minute and generally clean up the list. I that's pretty much the final number, though.

Does this make Alabama 2012 the biggest NPC rush ever?!?

Well, since they were the biggest last year at 1700 + I'm sure we are still #1.....

Between the drops and last-minute additions, 1,957 PNMs are listed today, the first day of recruitment.
Best of luck to everyone out there!

I saw a post on Twitter stating that quota is going to be 115. I do not know if this is true or not but with the amount of women going through, it makes sense! 1957/17=115 approx. Would you still calculate 17 chapters which includes Sigma Delta Tau in determining quota if they do not participate in formal recruitment but hold their own recruitment afterwards?

You wouldn't...you'd calculate with 16. AFAIK they just COB. Plus, we know that typically about 80% of PNM's make it to pref night.
1957 x 80% = 1566
1566 / 16 = 98
Which is right about what they told the chapters to expect...pledge classes of 100!

Right - SDT does not participate in formal recruitment and they are not figured into the "quota" - which is more of a range that a set figure under the RFM method, from what I understand.
And that's not set until just before (or is it after?) pref night.

After all the bid cards are turned in, the computer runs them and recommends quota based on a number that places the greatest number of women. Then the NPC assigned RFM specialist checks it over and blesses it - or not.
