With the end of the Mueller investigation came the United States losing its collective mind.

Now investigations are being opened on the investigation. And new investigations are starting on Hilary Clinton. And people are now claiming that Mueller is a Republican so "of course he found no collusion." And others are being obnoxious and cheering because of "liberal snowflakes" crying.

What the f*** is wrong with everyone? When did we all decide that we hate each other? When are the citizens and the government going to get back to focusing on the formulation of good ideas and policies that will help out their fellow man?

We've all gone mad. Seriously.

The world is very angry these days. I find it exhausting. I have no idea how or when it will end. I'm afraid it's going to take a real tragedy to get people united at all. The noise is deafening and the hatred is disheartening.

The only thing that gives me joy is the dog twitterverse.

Sadly, you're probably right.

The only thing that gives me comfort is to believe that it's just a handful of crazies screaming the loudest and most people are sensible and decent.

What’s really now beginning to get under my skin is this whole “white privilege” unfairness, still unchanged. Can’t even sit in a Starbucks without leaving in cuffs with the police, etc. last time I checked, integration is not just the diversity of color. Integration is the sharing of power, resources, and responsibility. I wonder what would have happened to Obama is he was like the idiot we have in office now. Interesting.

That's a really interesting question...I'm constantly amazed by what we "shake our heads at" with Trump, but he continues to survive, politically. He seems to get away with things that no one else does.

Generally, whites get away with what African-Americans can’t get away with. It’s called “white priviledge”. I already knew the answer to my own sarcasm. Obama would have been impeached. No question about it.

Yea, exactly. Remember when Obama wore a tan suit and people lost their minds? Can you imagine if he did even half of what Trump has done?

And then there's also the sexism. It amazes me how many people, even fully admitting that they don't like Trump and think he's terrible for the country, say that Hilary wouldn't have been any better. And they're truly adamant about it.

Look, I don't think either one of them were great options. But the things people - mostly men - have said to me about her... it's astonishing. No one provides a good reason why she shouldn't be the president instead, so they start stumbling over their words and/or make the most asinine arguments.

There was someone sitting near me at a bar last week that started a conversation with the bartender. The bartender ranted for a few minutes about how much he can't stand Trump. Then when he was asked, "So at this point, do you think Hilary would have been a better option?" he replied, "Hell no." When asked why, he said because her husband cheated on her and she stayed with him. So... Trump cheats on his spouse(s) repeatedly and pays off porn stars, but because Hilary was cheated on 20+ years ago and decided to work it out with her spouse, that puts her below Trump in terms of governing the country.

This is where we're at.

Exactly, I totally agree. I couldn’t agree more. It’s just a bunch of double standard BS. It’s all (more likely than not) going to get worse. Peoples minds have gone in the gutter.

And now I’m just learning this jackass wants to cut funding to PBS and Special Olympics. This is crazy. I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep if someone put this fucking wall building, dumbass clown out of his misery.

This week has been a comedy of errors. Last Friday Audi picked up my car for it's yearly oil change and inspection. Left me a loaner--2019 A4. Turns out my car has a problem with the water pump, and they don't have one in stock. Fine. On Saturday we let them know that the loaner is getting a "low tire pressure" warning. They say it's probably no big deal, likely a bad sensor. Get a call yesterday that they found another (smaller!) issue, and it would be a few more days. Today, I'm at a client's house and realize that the tire is actually completely flat. Luckily the client is only 3 miles from my house! So I drove home, and sent the Hubby pics that he has sent to Audi. I need a car, or my car, or something. I just had to cancel my tutoring client this afternoon. But that doesn't hurt my feelings too much since it's opening day of baseball season. Everything happens for a reason, right?!

GO CARDINALS!!!

But he's not the problem. We are. Because everyone is so angry at each other that compromise has become nearly obsolete. And rational discussion is hard to find because we try to make our point through memes instead. And we look at anyone not like us as "other" and believe there's no possible way that we could see eye to eye on anything. It's sad.

Exactly! As soon as he came up with that BS slogan “Make America Great Again”, I knew exactly what that meant. And his minions went right along with it as a means for it to have an effect on people of color. I agree 100% with your post. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a second term.

Trump’s power comes from division...he stokes it. It’s like he almost enjoys promoting anger and mistrust. What I fear is this: when he’s gone, how will we EVER get our decency and moral compass back again? Sometimes I’m really in despair over what America has become...then I get hope again. And I don’t think Trump will EVER give up power easily—I fear anger and violence, possibly stirred up by him. God help us if that happens.

There wasn’t any decency or morals before Trump. Never has been. There hasn’t been any of that since long before the first slaves were brought here 400 years ago this year. 1619. I’d think after 400 years people would have learned something. Haven’t learned a damn thing as far as I’m concerned. Cultural Conditioning still is highly active and visible. The only thing Trump did was bring all the hidden, racist bullshit back out to the open for all to see.
