Another bad commercial is the one for Aricept, for the early stages of Alzheimer's. The whole time the spokesperson is talking, the person with Alzheimer's is sitting there smiling. All I can think is, "She's probably wetting her pants right this very minute!"

US depression drug ads (for example) tell viewers what it's for.
Actually, I think you are right.

But I was just reading the Food and Drug Act and it says in

s.3. (1) No person shall advertise any food, drug, cosmetic or device to the general public as a treatment, preventative or cure for any of the diseases, disorders or abnormal physical states referred to in Schedule A.

and schedule A says:

(Section 3)

Alcoholism, Alopecia (except hereditary androgenetic alopecia), Anxiety state, Appendicitis, Arteriosclerosis, Arthritis, Asthma, Bladder disease, Cancer, Convulsions, Depression, Diabetes, Disease of the prostate, Disorder of menstrual flow, Dysentery, Edematous state, Epilepsy, Gall bladder disease, Gangrene, Glaucoma, Gout, Heart disease, Hernia, Hypertension, Hypotension, Impetigo, Kidney disease, Leukemia, Liver disease (except hepatis), Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, Obesity, Pleurisy, Rheumatic fever, Septicemia, Sexual impotence, Thrombotic and Embolic disorders, Thyroid disease, Tumor, Ulcer of the gastro-intestinal tract, Venereal disease

So, the way I understand it, is that we can't really advertise for Viagra anyway, even though we do.

That's why they never say what it does....that's why they have those crazy guys prancing around and then flash the name of the drug and "call your doctor".....the guys prancing and the guys singing in the shower really freak me out!

When that guy opens his drapes and that scary ass Burger King is standing outside his window....if that happened to me, I'd MOVE because his burger kinging ass is SCARY.
What about the one where the guy wakes up and BK is in bed with him, flashin' that burger-eatin' grin? *Shudder*

I was watching that show the other night as well. When the girl shared her letter and recalled the memories of being raped, I was completely sick to my stomach. It was probably the rawest emotion I have seen on TV in quite sometime.

I'm sick and tired of all these reality shows....who would do any of these things in reality anyway.....I'm curious to see what the next show title will be next......

And also that show w/ Bam on it the one where he tortures his family....if I were his parents I'd kick his ____ (feel free to add your choice of word) for real..

Those tacky commercials where people testify ( test-a-lie) about how a service or product worked for them.

The medicine commericial (Mederma or something). The child has a scar and he talks about it. Then, at the end, he moves his face which was a paper mask on a stick. I can't even describe it.

DISTURBING

I get creeped out by the new Gatorade commercial. The one where the athlete disinegrates into a ton of pieces in middle of activity. EWWWW!

YES! BK has put out some STRANGE advertising lately. Remember that one with Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish dressed as a cowboy with all sorts of weird stuff going on?

But I wouldn't wake up calmly to THAT in my window.
