Thoughts on last night's episode? I didn't see anything earth shattering. I put the episode as just ok. My speculation on the person I had referenced in my previous post was accurate.
And was surpised to see Rick stand his ground and do what he needed to do. But, the lingering question is where is Morgan and will he be more of a presence on the show? What's his deal?
And Beth, I feel like she's part of some strange scientific experiment.

While the cinematography on last night's show was unique (darkly lit scenes 95% of the show), it was hard to tell who was who but it added to the creepiness of the woods surrounding the church.
Overall, I give this episode about a 7 out of 10.
I would discuss more aspects of the plot line but it would give away a few spoilers leading into next week's episode.

Tonight is part one of the mid-season finale. I'm getting really worried for Carol.

I felt it was a basic "set-up" episode for next week but it was neat seeing Daryl use something quite unique for an improvised weapon.

That might have been my favorite part of the entire episode.

My own internal prediction was correct even though my BF thought I was making it up (as in my prediction). And what was the deal with the very, very end of the episode??? Hopefully more to come later.

I wasn't as overwhelmed as I was when the patriarch of a certain family was killed by the Governor but yes, the post-credits scene is leading up to something interesting, something that we have to wait for till February.

I agree, I wasn't shocked per se. I think it was more of the aftermath, that did make me tear up a bit (I must confess).

I think what lacked the emotional impact for me was that I just lost interest in that certain character after their extended "not being" in the series as much.
One good thesis of the show, is that it shows that the dynamics of any survival group, the hierarchy can change at any time and is always in flux, i.e. the Grady Memorial group.

Are you talking about the scenes with Morgan? He was also in the first episode of the season... It appears that he is following the group but I don't see anything nefarious coming out of it. I assumed he was specifically following Rick but he seemed like he was surprised to see that Rick was at the church so who knows..

^^^Yes, I've gone back and forth about Morgan. Only because the last time he was in a scene with another non-zombie (i.e. Rick) he went off the deep end and at that particular moment I wondered if he would come back from that bad place he was at. Also I've just come to expect the unexpected from this show.
