Huffington Post had some risque' wedding dresses on their website. I don't know how to link in but they were terrible. Who in gods name would wear something like that?

There's something so sad about looking at somebody else's wedding pictures, and seeing the dress that you really, really wanted but didn't get.

I was in a very strained position to have my dress made by a member of my DH's church. I gave her the details, and with a 500 mile trip back and forth for fittings, she never did get it right. I kept telling myself, it's only one day, it's only one day. But two years later, I actually choked up when I saw my dream dress in another woman's bridal album. If I can get a picture of it, I will post it.

This has been my DREAM dress for about 8-10 years now (I say that time frame as I can't remember if it came from a 2004 or 2006 collection).

I've scoured the internet for a picture of this dress and I FINALLY found on on pinterest!

What sucks is that it is so old my chances of being able to actually find the dress when I do get married (keeping positive thoughts there). But I'm just excited that I found a picture!

Have it custom made. One of my chapter sisters was planning her wedding my sophomore year and I was looking thru bridal magazines with her when I found THE dress. She graciously let me tear that page out of the mag, and I held on to it. Fast forward 8 years and I took the full page ad to Phelps Fabrics in Jacksonville, FL and asked if they could make the dress(at the time they made the complete wardrobe for Miss Florida). The lady started whipping out this fabric and that one and I knew I had gone to the right place. They did an excellent job!

Last Sunday my daughter wore the dress for her wedding. The bodice was redesigned to update it and to suit her vision, and she looked stunning. I even found a lady to embroider two dress labels: one with my husband's initials and mine, and our wedding date, and one with my daughter's and her husband's initials, and their wedding date. The seamstress who was doing the alterations sewed the labels into the inside of the skirt.

What a great idea! I'll have to keep that in mind.

Any chance of seeing a picture of this custom gown in its two forms? Maybe with face obscured for privacy? I'd love to see it!

So, FSUZeta sent me pics of the custom gown to post for her (she wasn't quite sure how to do it.)
