Around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, a goat was taken from the ASU Farm. UPD officer Eddie Weems reported he drove to the farm and found fresh tire tracks leading to the gate of the livestock barn. . . .
Weems was advised that the suspect's vehicle, a red 4-door pickup truck was found at the Kappa Alpha fraternity house. The owner of the truck is ASU student Austin Harris. . . . UPD officer Billy Branch found the truck and noticed animal hair in the bed of the truck. Branch contacted 20-year-old Broc Arender and asked him to locate Harris. Branch said he went into the Kappa Alpha fraternity house with Arender and found more animal hair on the stairs and could also hear animal noises coming out of one of the rooms.
Branch entered the room and found the animal. The animal was brought outside. . . . Weems reported that Harris refused to disclose anyone else involved. Harris was charged with misdemeanor, second degree criminal mischief.* A representative of the farm arrived at the Kappa Alpha house and transported the goat back to the farm.
