Talking Order of Omega Members?

We all seem like we're pretty active Greeks here. Who all else is in Order of Omega? I'm getting inducted tonight...

Has anything happened for you as a result of membership? I'm curious!

I think someone took this poll before? If you wanna do a search

Anyways, I was inducted the first semester they had it at my college, which was spring semester & towards the end of the year. Our Studend Affairs assistant was a grad student who had been an active sorority member at Ohio State (I think she once said she was her chapters' prez) & she brought it to campus.

Nothing special has happened since due to my belonging... but it is cool to be part of it. (A positive greek org. with very positive, visible goals, I mean)

I'm in Order of Omega but I was only in for a semester before I graduated. So I didn't get to do any projects, etc. with them. But I did get the cords and wear for graduation.

Anytime you get awarded something is is an honor! It will look good on your first resume when you get into the real world and maybe some of you Profs know what it means and will look at you with a kinder eye!

I'm a member - we just pulled off a huge project this weekend. UBC Greeks used to have SongFest - each fraternity and sorority would put on a performance, usually a show tune. Anyways it fizzled out in the early 1990's and this year we (Omega) decided to bring back this long Greek tradition (I believe it started in the 50's). Anyways the evening was awesome - Beta took home 1st prize, AGD was second and Kappa Sig was 3rd - I think we were 4th .

I'm a member of Order of Omega We didn't do a lot of activities, though... we volunteered once at a food bank during my year and a half as an active member, and that was about it.

At my school, Omega tends to die back and then resurge - it seems to be popular with alternate class years. When I was initiated, with about 25 other people, there were only 4 collegiate members! A couple of years later, we all graduated, and they were back down to a handful of people...
