Managing Tavis

Okay, I'll get this one started. I'd begin by thinking of a show similar to the format on BET that will explore edgy political and cultural topics of interest to the African-American and the mass population. I would have him on right before Politically Incorrect. I would put him on ABC at 11:30PM, and at 12PM begin Politically Incorrect.

I agree with you that Tavis has the capacity and the following to be put on ABC, however, maybe after Politically Incorrect. A lot of people like that show, and tune in to watch Politically Incorrect, so maybe they would stay and watch Tavis. I also think that Bill Mahr (sp?) should be buimped up to 10pm or so. Just my 2 cents!!!

If you were Tavis Smiley's agent, where would you turn to promote him as a talk show host/author in light of the recent fiasco on BET?

I absolutely LOVE Politically Incorrect!!!!

I agree, the time should be moved up so that more people could watch it. Also, putting Tavis right after that show would definately gain an audience.
