When was the "new" style introduced? I've never seen it before. I was a colony member as recently as Fall 2008 and we all received the "older" style.

My new save! Okay, this is an interesting one from the days when sisters could specify each letter. It's a half pearl A, crown pearl O, half pearl II. Don't know why she would have done that, but I can't wait to see it in person! Definitely different than any I've ever seen before. I sniped this one out from under three collectors!
I'll post a better picture when I can get onto eBay later tonight. This is from my email.

Angela, Holy Cow! That is gorgeous. I can't wait to see it in person. I bet the "O" really pops.

That's what I'm hoping...all of my half pearl and crown pearl badges look so different. Hopefully, you can really see the difference in the same badge.

Thanks, Glitter! I just couldn't see it go to a collector. We've lost a few lately.

Are half pearls common?

We no longer offer half pearl badges. All you can get are crown pearl O badges or Crown pearl AO and Pi points.
I'll work on a picture for you...if I can find my camera amongst all the moving boxes!

Badge Recovery Co-Op, Anyone?
This auction is currently up on "the site"... several badges from several GLOs. With 25 badges from almost as many GLOs, if some GC users work together and the price is reasonable, you may be able to rescue one of your badges for as little as $10! Think of it... if the auction goes to $250, that's an average of $10 for a possibly blinged-out badge! (Unfortunately, there IS a reserve, but oh well.)
There isn't a Phi Mu badge on there, so I won't be part of the fun... but isn't rescuing something so precious to us worth a few bucks? At that price, I don't think it would really be considered "encouraging" these sellers.

There are so many lovely badges in this lot! I doubt it'll stay as low as $250....especially since there is minimal bid the seller is willing to take.

I would if there were some Kappa keys in there. But I have to say, that KD ring is stunning. The setting is so graceful- makes me wish I could make a badge ring like that! That's the downside to the horizontal badges (Kappa, Pi Phi, AXiD) I suppose... they'd make very awkward rings

That one KD pin is especially interesting for having emeralds at the top and bottom points of the diamond but not the ones on the sides. I wonder when it was made. Would you know anything about that, Leslie Anne?

Sorry but only diamonds I see I don't particularly care about.

You mean you don't think something like this is a good idea?

Gusteau, that would totally work if our badges were bigger. Too bad...
