I doubt that MTV would spend all that money and then not use the footage.

Networks spend a lot more than that all the time - and never use the footage. It's not at all uncommon to buy the rights to a show, but never air it.

No joke. They must have vaults of money from when they sold their souls to the devil.

All kidding aside, MTV is owned by Viacom - a huge-ass media conglomerate (that owns Paramount, CBS, UPN, TNN, Nickelodeon, VH1, Showtime, BET, CMT, Blockbuster, Simon & Schuster, etc.) so there is no shortage of money in that corporate family. And all of those stations burn money on a daily basis on crappy shows, so it's nothing new.

STFU

my jaw is on the floor, and I don't think will be up anytime soon. would any NPC group seriously consider picking them up after the antics on MTV?

I remember talking with our stationary FC when we were a colony, and mentioning how my local was in the final running for the 1st episode of Sorority Life, and I mentioned how that would have totally changed things. She laughed and said that I would not have been wearing a pledge pin if the sorority had been on MTV.

Okay, I know that I did my best to clean my mind of all thoughts of MTV's horrendous Sorority Life shows, but was DZO the one in Buffalo or in LA? I want to make sure we already have a chapter that school!!

So here's a question - In your opinion, have they had time to graduate enough of the girls from SL and gotten in enough new ones to change the chapter significantly, and would it matter how much the chapter may have improved? Or do you think they're already screwed?

Even if they graduated the ones who made the bad decision, it may not bode well for their chapter history. Although I do hate to say it - there may be some nice women there now.
