Chicago Area Alumnae Panhellenic Article in Chicago Trib

My Alum Chapter President just sent us this link. The AOII chapter mentioned was the top alumnae chapter honored at our recent convention. They have about 50 members and do the work of 100 members. I was completely in awe of this chapter and made sure to stop their President to ask how they get so much done. "Dedication" was the answer.

That's a great article to see.
In my experience (as an alumna inside and outside Chicago), it has to do with dedication, as well as the very large pool of alumnae in the area. Since I live in the city proper, I'm a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Chicago Alumnae Chapter, as well as Chicago Alumnae Panhellenic. I know there are at least 3 other rather good-sized, active GPB Alum chapters in the suburbs, and I know the Alumnae Panhellenics are numerous and involved as well. The Chicago area is a GREAT place for greek alumni

Wow, talk about showing NPCs in a great light. Although it is not talked about as often as the South, the midwest has such a strong Greek community. Thanks for sharing AOII Angel!

I actually mentioned this article to the chapter advisor for the chapter I work with - the ADPi quoted in the article is the house corporation president for the chapter, and she'll be going to our District Leadership Conference with us in a few weeks. Congrats to the AOII chapter mentioned in the article - sounds like the ladies have a LOT of fun!
