As a geriatric counselor, I see older couples, and my heart just melts! My whole perspective of love & marriage has changed - I want someone who will look at me in 50-60 years the way I see some of these older couples gaze so lovingly at their spouse!

My great grandparents were married 75+ years before my great grandpa died a few yrs ago. My grandparents are celecrating thier 55th anniversary this year. It is just amazing to see people together that long--- I can't imagine any of my friends being with their current spouses for that length of time.

I saw a little couple the other day in walmart, they were about 80yrs old. They were pushing the cart together-- both had their outer hands on the cart and their hands that were in the middle they were holding. It was so sweet!!!

I saw a couple on The Tonight Show who were married for 65 years. They were so sweet and seemed so happy. My neighbors were married for over sixty years, but the wife passed away a couple of years ago. They were really happy. Now he is so sad and misses her so much.

That's so sweet.

My grandparents have been married almost 60 years themselves.

I COMPLETELY agree!!!! Since I work retail, I meet so many different people, and one night this nice old man came in. I don't even remember what we were talking about, but when he said he had been married to his wife for 55 years and their 56th anniversary was coming up, my heart just did a little flip. All I could think after he left was "I sure hope I find love like that too" ...

I'm doing coke and listening to lots of loud music until I'm a vegetable and the state can take care of me. At that point I'll have divorced my 3rd wife and my 4th wife will realize she is getting no money when I die because my son will inform her and laugh at her 24 year old bimbo face.

I have cousins (my dad's first cousin and his wife) who will celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2005. They have three children and four granddaughters.
