Yep! Some of my girls were in attendance at the installation dinner!

Alpha Xi Delta has been invited to colonize at Western Ky. University. This is a recolonization of Epsilon Kappa Chapter. This will be a fall 2011 colonization.

PAIGE!!! I am so excited for you!! You have got to go to the installation when it comes around. I'm so glad that they saw the benefit of bringing back a shuttered chapter. Congratulations!

Woohoo! Congratulations to Alpha Xi Delta. This is awesome, and especially considering that AZ-AlphaXi had a "personal" interest in this expansion, it's doubly exciting. Doing the happy dance for you, friend.

Sigma Phi Epsilon has closed its chapter at the University of Southern Mississippi. The chapter was closed due to a recent incident and continuing RMF issues.

Wow Quinnipiac Greek Life is exploding. You'd think it would be time for a new fraternity colonization - I wonder if they've considered it, and if they haven't what's going on with IFC chapters there that they wouldn't?

Happy for y'all! Alpha Gamma Delta recently recolonized there. I love driving by the house when I am in BG once a year...usually when they are not in school.

Just a quick comment to some of the posts:
1. Regarding if ASA colonized Delta Xi Omega (known as DZO on campus) they would more then likely preserve there history as the local as they have been in existence for almost 25 years. That would be a lot of history to just throw away.
2. From what I know this is the first time Tri Delta wanted to come to a SUNY. A local organization (no longer on campus) Delta Delta prided themselves that one day they would be Tri Delt but when they made the decision to pursue national extension Tri Delta wrote a letter specifically stating they would not pursue them. This was Spring 2009! What a difference a year made.

Explain please. Are they going to continue to wear DZO letters or use DZO pledging procedures or DZO rituals?
ASA (unless a really special dispensation goes down) is not going to use the designation of "Delta Xi Omega Chapter" or permit them to use procedures that don't agree with ASA national policy. (I'm guessing the latter would apply to ANY of the groups looking at DZO.)
If the chapter chooses to keep all the DZO scrapbooks, letters etc at the chapter...that's their choice. I'm just saying that ASA (or any national) is not bound to or in the position to do anything about that.

25 years pales in comparison with the over 100 years of history ASA brings to the table. By the time the current DZO members graduate I imagine the local history will be an interesting footnote in chapter history . . . what lies before them is far greater than what lies behind them, to paraphrase.
