This is hands down the most hyper rush thread ever. But I totally mean that in a good way. It's a refreshing change from the "I always wanted to be in a sorority, but I was so shy and blah blah afterschool special blah blah" threads.

I agree. I was getting really bored with the recruitment threads. This is at least entertaining

Agreed as well. I like this thread - Quick and to the point, yet entertaining.

33girl, I laughed aloud at the computer at your post. I so agree. It's nice for people to "come out of their shell" and enjoy recruitment, but it's also nice for a transfer to be pumped and shine in FR, especially at IU.
Can't wait to hear the rest of your story, hoosierr

I like. It has no:

*ridiculous fake twists and turns that couldn't possibly be real (i.e. pledging, depledging, changing schools, then rushing again).

*fakey characters like "that PNM who called you an evil whore to your face yet you just met her yesterday."

*ridiculous overly-detailed descriptions that couldn't possibly be real (e. g. you rushed 20 years ago, yet you can remember to a tee the EXACT convos and outfits of every girl at every chapter you visited--and you went to a school with 20 chapters). Riiiight.

*attention-whoring questions like "do you guys want to hear my story????"

Applause for realness.

I love the stories that start and end in one day. My attention span only lasts so long, after all! And the change in pace energy-wise is nice... almost like being in college again.

Now bring on the Prefs! Although I'm pretty sure you didn't go True Religion because of a couple of comments ("True religion!- hell yes! love these girls still to this day" and "will always think fondly of this house for the rest of my life"), but you never know...

I'm enjoying that this thread doesn't have eighteen pages of "I'M ROOTING FOR SUNSHINE FLOWER SHINY SMILES HOUSE" or "COME BAAAAAAAACK AND UPDAAAAAATE".

This is also a fabulous rush for a IU sophomore. After you finish your story do you think you could share how you made your rush so successful? Or perhaps what you think made you stand out in a large number of PNMs in such a positive way?

This is quite possibly more annoying than the annoying fake novel threads themselves.
