Pref Dress?
I've been over all the department stores in the area, and I'm having a lot of trouble finding a dress for pref. I need a knee-length, sleeveless-yet-not-spaghetti-strap black dress. Something simple, classy, and preferably not like the $149 version I saw at Ann Taylor. Unfortunately, that's also the most like what I need. Any ideas, or should I just keep combing the mall? Thanks, ladies!!

Well, my suggestion would be to comb the malls of North Carolina. Head to Crabtree Valley and hit up Lord and Taylor. Also go to Nordstrom at The Streets at Southpoint. I think you are going to be able to find a dress... you've just got to look at the right places. Sometimes Belk and Dillards are just not going to cut it!
My dress is from Ann Taylor but I got it at the outlets at Myrtle Beach... it's very lovely but I'm not altogether sure it's going to fit me by now When are you moving in?
And it makes me laugh that your signature is just like PhiMuJulia's... it is nice, though

I would especially suggest going to Lord and Taylor's since they're planning on pulling out of the South (closing tons of stores), and you might find a great deal!

Yeah, I did kinda steal the different-colored letters from her, didn't I?
My problem is that I work the next few days, then we've got sister retreat (yay!!!) this weekend, and then the week after that is work week. Boo. No time for shopping, so I've been trying to do it online at 3 AM when I'm home.
I'm not moving in this fall. I've got an apartment off-campus. But I'm already planning on spending a night or two on the new hall. Have we filled it, or are there still spaces?

Dress!
They have a cute black dress with pink trim at maurices. (Must it be solid black?) I got a cute black dress w/ pink satin trim at Dillards. They also have a similar one at Parisians.

Are you friends with any music majors? They tend to own solid black dresses to wear in performances or recitals. I never had to buy a pref dress becasue my roomate was a music major and had a selection of black dresses that she let me borrow.

Heheheh...I AM a music major...and I do have a bunch of black dresses/skirts/shirts. Unfortunately, they're all floor-length, and we're looking for knee-length.
One of my chapter sisters got hers at Target, so I'm definitely gonna follow up on that suggestion! Thanks, guys!

Target's supposed to have a ton of great stuff now that they've got that one designer (Isaac somebody?) working for 'em.
May as well pick up a white one sooner rather than later -- trust me, the later in the year it gets, the HARDER it gets to find those white dresses....
