I just bought my dress this Friday & I am now having second thoughts on it. It is a beautiful dress but I think I may have let myself be influenced by my sisters, friend, & future mother-in-law. I originally wanted a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, princess ball gown. I ended up with an A-line strapless wrap dress. It's beautiful but I'm really having doubts about it now. I really liked it when I had on the gloves, tiara, veil, and jewelry on so I could see what it would look like & I even took pics. Now I'm not so sure. I now have to call David's Bridal & see if I can exchange the one I ordered for a new one. I already paid the dress in full too. They told me I would be receiving it sometime at the end of May which would leave me w/plenty of time for alterations if needed. I knew I should have gone alone.

my dress
My dress is almost identical to this - it is the same style, but my beading is slightly different and the back is lace up and i don't think it is a low in the back as this picture shows; but for some reason I can't find my exact dress...
This what the guys are wearing:
some model - not my fiance...

Very dramatic. and I love it!
PS, ladies, please keep in mind that your dress might be dirty, especially if you're telling us poor photographers that you want your pictures outside. (the point? keep in mind where you're having your photos taken and when you want them taken). I swear to god, instead of driving away from my reception, I want to either a) row away in a double or b) ride a tandem bike. I want to have my reception at the boathouse I work/row at.

bcdphie, that dress is GORGEOUS. If I didn't already love mine so, I would get that one...although from your description (lace up back, etc.) it sounds already sounds like mine. LOL
Good luck P-n-C. Be sure to get what YOU want (and not listen to someone else)

Thank you Peaches and Honeykiss - Peaches good luck with wedding dress hunting.
Honeykiss, I think your dress is absolutely gorgeous, and I thought the same thing, if I didn't have mine, I would love yours - we must have great taste .
On a side note - the dress I got was the very first dress I tried on. I also tried on another one, but the first one was the one.

When I get married, I'll have to have two dresses. A white one for church and the first part of the reception, and a Chinese dress to change into part way through. Since my family is (mostly) from southern China, I'll be wearing a two piece dress. Northern Chinese tend to wear qi paos which are one piece.

I'm not sure if my dress will look EXACTLY like that. The outfit seen in the picture is a little more form fitting than many dresses I've seen. I guess I'll see. I probably won't be getting married for another 3 or 4 years.
