Yes, that's normal at UA. There are 14 fraternities and 10 sororities. A large fraternity new member class is around 80. Our chapter has approximately 200 men. What surprises me is the size, only 24 beds.

How many women typically live in a sorority house? On my campus, between 80-100 women lived in the houses and the fraternities ranged from 50-90.

I would say 75-100 with the higher end being the new houses. Next year for example, Pi Phi and Chi O will be unhoused as their existing houses are being renovated/remodeled and Phi Mu and AXO still do not have houses.
Several fraternities do not have houses AGR, Beta and KA and then Lambda Chi and Sig Ep are under renovation, I would think fraternity houses are in the 50+ range. Our house was completely renovated recently and we have approximately 70 beds.

I drove by campus last weekend and the back half of the Chi O house is history, Pi Phi has a construction fence around it ,but no work as yet. They took the fence down around the Phi Mu lot and something is going on behind ADPi, the lot is fenced off. I'm not sure what is going on there if it is part of the Chi O project, U of A using it or if ADPi is adding on ???

Construction Update - Demolition has begun on Pi Phi (side entrance and drive), Back end of XO house is gone and hauled away. The building going up behind ADPi is the new Wesley Foundation. No action on Phi Mu lot, same contractor as Pi Phi though (CDI)

What are they doing where the 4-H House used to be? That one was beautiful.

If it is the house I am thinking about....it was FIJI when I was in school (80s) and is no longer there. Was it behind Futrall and somewhat close to DG? FIJI built a new house and is where DU used to be.

It's a retail development anchored by a large UA Bookstore, several smaller stores, a Walmart on campus store and a large parking deck.

So proud of these young men. 2014 - 2015 brought a new house and now a Smythe Award.

I like the nod to Old Main with the tower in the back!
