Talking Rush

I was planning to Rush next semester. How should I act towards the other fraternities that I am looking into? I really want to get into one fraternity. Is there a better chance of me getting a bid if I try to get to know the people in that fraternity and be friendly towards them? How did you act that got you a bid? I would like to hear from as many people as possible Thanx.

You really don't want to act differently just to get in a particular chapter. The old rule applies in Rush just as much as everywhere else, BE YOURSELF! You won't be happy ultimately, having to keep up a false image for four years. Besides, would you really want to be a part of a group that wouldn't accept you for yourself? When I went through rush, I decided not to join a high-profile "face house", and joined the chapter where I truly clicked with the members and had the most fun, just "average guys". It was the best decision I ever made.
