Sean Levert

I was sorry to learn that Sean Levert passed over the weekend of undetermined causes.

Pray for Mr. Eddie Levert and his wife (??). I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose 2 children within 18 mos.

I don't think the parents are together. Nonetheless, it is a very sad situation. I was shocked to hear the radio announcer say that 2/3s of Levert was gone. I had just read an article about Sean, but never THOUGHT he was now deceased.

Very sad and unfortunate for all of Sean's family, friends and fans.

This is yet another sad day and time of mourning for the Levert family, and I will say a prayer for them. Steve Harvey reported this morning that Sean Levert was in jail this weekend for failure to pay child support, and suffered an anxiety attack while there. I can't imagine what the family must be going through now. This is truly a sad situation. Natural causes? I'm sorry, but I have real trouble believing that there is anything natural about a man dying at 39 years old.

39 year old men dying of heart attacks (which is considered a natural cause--don't know if that is the case here) is more common than you think. In fact it is a prime age whenmen think they can still do the things they did in their teens and twenties, but have not taken care of themselves physically.

Very sad.

So it's a possible heart attack or anxiety attack and not a suicide? Ok. We may never know beyond what the family is releasing as the (public) cause of death.

It is very sad. I remember vividly when Sean was in Charlotte 8 months ago at a play that he starred in. At the end of the performance he thanked everyone for the prayers for he and his family during that time.

He will be truly missed.

There is a huge difference between an anxiety attack and a heart attack. Which was it because one does not cause the other. From everything I've read, no cause of death is listed, everyone says he had a "medical emergency" or "feel ill."

Indeed.

I'm thinking this may be the family's public cause of death announcement.

I just read it on the Internet and I am beyond .

My prayers go out to the Levert family.

My mention of a heart attack was in response response to the poster implying that 39 year old men do not die of natural causes. I used heart attack as an example.

As for Sean Levert, it is not common for an anxiety attack (in and of itself) to lead to death, so I suspect, too, there is more to the story.

My heart sank when I read this story. I lost my older brother six years ago and that pain is still really fresh.

I understand that Sean was on high blood pressure meds in addition to being really overweight. Those two things may have contributed to his death but I guess we'll have to wait for the coroner's report in the next month.

I pray that the family will be able to find some comfort in this most difficult time.
