Bucknell had such a hugh Greek system at one time. I bet there are at least 10 NPC groups not on the campus that have been there at one time or another. It will be interesting to see who is chosen to present.

Oh, that one's really exciting to me too. I guess they'll announce the groups presenting in the fall?
I looked up the groups formerly at Bucknell. Here they are:
Delta Delta Delta Tau 1904-2003
Kappa Delta Phi Tau 1915-1970
Phi Mu Beta Kappa 1922-?
Delta Zeta Beta Theta 1930-1978
Alpha Phi Beta Chi 1948-1978
Alpha Sigma Alpha 1953-1964
Gamma Phi Beta Delta Xi 1978-1987
Delta Phi Epsilon Phi Rho 1980-1982
That's indeed a lot of former NPCs to choose from! A lot of which have been off campus for extended periods of time. Current groups at Bucknell are Pi Phi, AXO, KKG, DG, Theta, and Chi-O.

Plus, they can still consider the other 12 that have never had a chapter at Bucknell. :::Shameless plug::: Sigma Kappa has a very successful chapter about 20 minutes South on route 15 at Susquehanna University. Just sayin'.
Other than the fact that one of my best friends joined the recolonizing chapter of Theta Chi as a senior, I think Bucknell is interesting because a student must be a sophomore in order to join, yet they have a very high percentage Greek. Obviously, they're doing something right if students have a whole year to get involved in other stuff, yet still decide that they want to be Greek.

LOL! That would be good but sadly, it's not up to us.

Didn't mean to imply otherwise. The last group they added, in 2000, was Chi Omega, which didn't (according to irishpipes's thread at least, not that that's definitive) have a chapter there previously.

I think that is what the school used to be called ... it's the University of North Texas now

That is what we are hoping for. From what I understand, there has recently been some difficulties w/ this all, but they are hoping for a good outcome by fall.
