Transfering to Ole Miss
I'm a Chi Omega transfering from Middle Tennessee State to Ole Miss. Any advice? At MTSU, we did things on a lot smaller scale. Tailgating was only the Greeks and even then some girls and guys wore tshirts.
What should I expect going to Ole Miss? What are the Chi Omegas like? What are the girls and guys like there period? What do girls wear?

My first suggestion is to contact ChiO at Ole Miss, and make sure that they will accept you as a transfer into the chapter. Some chapters have rules about accepting transfers.
My second suggestion is to ask them the questions you have posted, if in fact they do accept you.

Tailgating will be a big surprise on the scale of it.
XO is strong almost everywhere, so I'd guess that they rock.

I would contact Tau Chapter of Chi Omega at Ole Miss. I know they get MANY transfers every year and there is a process to it. You will need to be added to their billing system and other things as well. I will PM you an email address so you can contact them.

hootiecutie, there is a standard National procedure for undergrad transfers. I would recommend that you contact the Regional Director at the Executive HQ and direct your questions there first.
As OleMissGlitter has said, most of the chapters at large state schools are used to having transfers to their campus -- many times they do have a designated "Transfer Chairman."
Best wishes on your move. Look forward to meeting many wonderful, new sisters.

I have a lot of friends that are Chi Os and they are some of the sweetest people on campus. As for tailgating and what to wear, make sure you have some dresses because everyone dresses up for the games.

I have never been to Middle Tennessee State, but I'm almost sure Greek Life is bigger at Ole Miss. I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem getting accepted as a transfer. The sorority girls at Ole Miss are some of the sweetest in the state, that is next to those wonderful ladies of USM. Good Luck
