I suppose I'll be cheering for Miss Ohio, and keeping my fingers crossed for Miss Delaware, the lone NPHC representative this time around...

Next year I need a Delta back in it!

Brittany Lewis is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Temple University. Went to Wilmington University for her Masters so I'd assume she's currently active with an Alumnae Chapter.

In the official 2015 Miss America Pageant booklet one of the contestant's sponsored advertisements features a small Delta Sigma Theta crest, but I don't think it's in the Miss Delaware ad. My sister has my pageant book right now, but when I get it back from her later this week I can check and respond. It's great that Delta Sigma Theta would help pay for a contestant's ad, whether or not she is a DST member.

In the same pageant booklet Phi Mu's Alpha Zeta/University of Alabama chapter paid for their sister's full page Miss Alabama ad, and Alpha Delta Pi's Delta/University of Texas Chapter sponsored their sister's full page Miss Texas ad.

All such adverts are considered optional and do not count points toward a Miss America crown. If they did Miss Oklahoma would win every year as she tends to have the most ads in the booklet.

Miss Texas does not look like the typical beauty queen--although obviously she's very, very pretty. There's something about her that just looks fun. Maybe it's because she is not gigantically tall, or maybe it's because she's a brunette with a twinkle in her eyes....but Go Miss Texas!

And WOW, lots of ADPis! what a lineup!

Our chapters do stuff like that all the time for people who are not members, and I agree it's is pretty cool. The contestant could be a former debutante of the chapter or a family member or something. I always say it never hurts to ask all possible resources, especially when people are doing ad books!

A tantalizer from Parade Magazine: 5 Things You Won't See on TV During the Miss America Pageant .

I have the feeling that most of us know about at least a couple of these!

According to Miss America's official Facebook page and videos:

Pageant viewers in Mountain, Pacific, and Alaska/Hawaii time zones will be on tv time-delay and unable to view the televised pageant live.

Plan accordingly, and if you like surprises don't read the live GreekChat Miss America updates on this thread!

For those living in Eastern and Central time zones the pageant is Sunday, September 14 from 8pm-11pm Eastern, 7pm -10pm Central. The program will cover one special hour of behind the scenes Miss America magic, with the two hour main event immediately following. The festivities end with the crowning of Miss America 2015.

Think this is where I should type, Go Greeks! (all 19 representatives and those we may not yet know)

I will not have my tiara - it's still in PA. Am I allowed to watch with y'all without it, or should I get one? I've already told my DH to plan on watching football elsewhere!

That's always the worst thing for me...I do picture in picture. I love both football and pageants equally!
