I enjoyed the first episode...but mostly because of Annie Potts. I love her character.

But anything that has Annie Potts and Kristin Chenowith in roles like this is great.

I enjoyed the show, but definitely agree with the above criticisms. I'm interested to see where it goes.

I was totally thinking this. I vaguely remember someone here posting an article from Texas Magazine from the '70s talking about the personalities of the top groups in Texas. I'm sure we could guess from that article.

I just watched this today.

After my Highland Park experience last month, all I can say is "yep." Unfortunately, some of the characters reminded me a little too much of some of my family members.

Kristin Chenoweth was awarded Gamma Phi Beta's Carnation Award at the 2010 Convention, which is a very high honor given to sisters for remarkable professional accomplishments.

LOVE this show!!! It is far closer to reality in the Park Cities part of Dallas than any of the other dreck-ful "reality" shows based in Dallas.

No, this is not going to be a show where we celebrate their 100th episode, but certainly a not-terribly-guilty pleasure while it lasts for me.

This show seems to have gotten better or maybe I'm getting used to the characters. They have the actors, will just have to keep the writing up.

Started watching because Kristen was in it and loved Annie since Designing Women, but Cricket is my favorite right now.

I definitely think the show is evolving as the season goes on, I'm liking it more and more. My favorite part from last night's episode: The Doberman's named "Tony" and "Romo".

Right up there with a son named Landry. And I agree about how the show is getting better.

But I swear, if some prop person on the set doesn't figure out soon that they keep putting the Texas flag on the pole upside down . . . .

I didn't notice the dogs' names or the flag issue!

I did notice that both of the two new "love interest" guys are played by actors whose characters were killed off in True Blood last year.

I have a friend who works on the show, not in props, so I'll pass that along.

I haven't been a dedicated watcher since I don't have broadcast television, but there are a lot of little things that put me into giggle fits. I know some of it is specific to Texas, even Dallas, but it is spot on about dynamics in groups of people who believe they are part of a certain echelon of society.

The flag is always in the background -- for instance there's always a Texas flag in the church fellowship hall. I first noticed a few episodes ago that the flag was hung so that the red bar was above the white bar (like in the North Carolina flag) instead of below the white bar, as it should be for the Texas flag. Now it's gotten to be like a game -- every time I see one in the background I have to look and see if they got it right. I wonder if they keep moving the same flag and pole from set to set.
