This is perhaps the most bizarre cause I've seen to suspend any fraternity.
Quote:
A member of Sigma Pi fraternity said he found a goat that needed a home. He has ties to a local farm, so he was going to take the goat to the farm for him to live out his days.
The farm fell through, though.
So, the fraternity member sold the goat to someone else.

Reading this, my first thought was whether any of these executive directors or other national officers ever thought they'd be issuing national press releases concerning the whereabouts of some missing goat.
My second thought was with regard to the statement from Pi Lambda Phi. What the eff? That pivot was thoroughly bizarre. There's no need to bring law enforcement's alleged lack of attention to sexual assault into the equation. This is why we have national offices. Let the professionals handle those press releases. Pledge cooperation with the authorities, tell the public you take all of these allegations very seriously and move on. Attacking law enforcement tends to do more harm than good.
