I'm in my third year here at LHU, and I will be graduating next spring with a BA in Political Science with a minor in History!

I'm ready to get out of this place!

I changed majors three times, took a semester off and graduated in five years with some summer school. My little brother is currently a non-graduating senior at Northern Colorado but that has more to do with having to re-take a lot of classes.

Thing is, after I graduated I travelled, waited tables and went to a tech school program before getting a 'real' job at the age of 24. You have your whole life to sit in an office in front of a computer... I say to heck with being in a hurry, enjoy your youth.

i am almost 24 and still have a year left
i will be doing my internship next spring with the texas rangers

Less than 20 days left. I filled up the semester stamp spots on my student ID. Got my cap & gown yesterday

-sigh- i was a theatre major for 3 yrs....then last fall, i opted to change my major to FRENCH (yeah, yeah...i know), and then i decided "what the heck....?" and took what was originally going to be my final semester off. God only knows when i am gonna graduate. i will be back in school in the fall, though, so woohoo! i'll never really leave.........

Most people I know graduated in 4 years unless they were engineering majors. They had a 5 year program. I knew a few students who graduated in three years due to AP credits and summer sessions. It seems to be a trend to graduate in more than four years.

The trend I've noticed that's caused this though is that the state regents (at least in Oklahoma) have upped the general ed requirements to include more classes. Also, many majors require LOTS more hours than others (and you'd be surprised which). At Central Oklahoma, Music Education is second only to premed in hours required (around 140 I think) my (current) major is 124 (I think).

I've been attending school as a part-time student for so long. Like some, I started at a junior college and I got my AA. then I went to CSU and major in Business management. But I changed my major to Urban Studies after my first year at Cleveland State. I took a break for a couple of years but I came back and now I'm seeing the finish line. MAN, I can't wait for next year to come so I can get the Hell out

This is my 6th straight year full time in college. I started with 2 majors (elementary education and special education) and then sometime during my first senior year (fall 2000 I think) I decided to add a music minor, only 30 credits but given that most music classes are only worth 1 to 2 credits it takes awhile. I will FINALLY graduate in May with a BSED, much to my dad's relief. I'm taking a break to teach for awhile before going back for my masters in reading specialist.

I got my BA in 5 years...I changed my major after 2nd year...It wasn't so bad, I like school...actually i'm going back next year for my masters

Trend around here is for part-time studies...noone can afford to be a full time student, they have to work to pay for tuition...

My college definitely upped it's general education requirements. I think a lot of it has to do with our allowing classes to have 3 credits - before they were only 2 & 4. I'm glad that I came in the year before they made a physical education requirement. The way I see it, if people want to be lazy or uninterested in athletics, let them.
