work week?

OK since it is rush session they hear it from a memeber of a sorority. I keep hearing this term, and I think I get the basics of it. But as GDI and a PNM I would like to know more of it since if I pledge I will be part of it.

What do you do exactly? How is it made fun? What would you change about it? Stuff along these lines.

Work week is a period of about a week or so that GLO members spend in preparation for recruitment. Generally, GLOs start preparing for rush well before work week, but work week is the time when you put the finishing touches on decorations, do your final outfit checks (and run around buying any last-minute items you might need), clean your house thoroughly (if applicable), rehearse skits, etc - with time for general bonding and de-stressing built in (we used to go out for dinner at least once during work week, where talk of rush was strictly verboten).

Oh man, haha I would say don't even worry about work week until you're in a sorority, lol. I may be the only one, but I think work week is my least favorite time of year. We try to make it as fun as possible, but really when it comes down to it, practicing singing and screaming/chanting and bouncing outside in 100 degree Missouri August heat...well, yea it's not pleasant.

But basically it is just a week of prepping and getting pumped up for rush and going over last minute details. Dress checks, conversation workshops, decorations for everyday, and a bunch more stuff. We usually go from 9 am to 9-9:30 pm everday during work week so it gets long. Just make sure you get enough sleep, which is what I should be doing now!
